Take a chance, take a chance, take a chaca-chance chance……. on LOVE!

“Love”, an intense feeling of deep affection.

This Valentine’s Day why not embrace your inner Hopeless R?! I will let you into a secret here, this was, not the original blog that I had prepared in commemoration of Cupid’s holiday but at the very last minute I decided to throw caution to the wind and go full on Hopeless R!

I, KlanaKitty am a Hopeless R!!

Am I right in thinking that we have all had times in our lives when we feel that we should have been brave enough to pursue the person that we love? We shoulda/woulda/coulda told that person how we felt, been honest with them, put ourselves out there and made the grand gesture, not put the opinions of others ahead of how we really feel!

Why? Why do we do this to ourselves? Why do we not take that chance? The fear of rejection perhaps? Let me ask you this, would you rather be rejected or live your whole life wondering what if? Life, as we know it, really is waaaay too frickin short!!

I, as you can see, openly class myself as a Hopeless R, no matter what life has thrown at me I have always maintained my belief in the power of love. I believe that there is a love story out there for everyone, in true “Adjustment Bureau” style. You may read this and think that this is naïve or somewhat ridiculous but let me tell you this, it takes a great strength to hold on to a belief such as this in the face of situations you endure and are subjected to. I am proud of myself that I have retained such a belief!

Let me also tell you this, I am not the type of person that “needs” to be with somebody! I have grown to love and embrace the person that I really am. Whilst a partner in love and crime would be, I feel, truly satisfying, it is a not a necessity for me, more of a kind of “luxury item”. Whilst I am enamored with love and having my “person” I am not about to settle for something that just is not complimentary to who I am.

What I will say though is I am a sucker for a love story, the serendipitous event, the grand gesture, the long-lost lovers reuniting years down the line! From Wuthering Heights on the deep dark depths of the moor, to the wintery ice rink of Central Park in true serendipitous fashion, I have a true admiration and somewhat “misty-eyed” view on love!

So, this Valentine’s day, what I am saying is “Take a chance on love!” Speak up, make a grand gesture, embrace your feelings, release your innermost emotions, tell the person that you love exactly that, which, by the way includes yourself…….

Make yourself truly happy!
